Scandinavia Corn Roast Tractor Pull Rules

  1. FOR SAFETY REASONS-NO ONE OTHER THAN DRIVER ALLOWED ON TRACTOR ANYWHERE ON SHOW GROUNDS!

  2. No alcoholic beverages on track or pit area. Any driver believed to be a potential safety hazard will be disqualified.

  3. Tractors must be operated in a safe manner at all times. Anyone driving recklessly will be disqualified.

  4. Anyone caught tampering with someone else’s tractor will be disqualified.

  5. One pull allowed per tractor in each class unless the track judge rules otherwise or if a tie is declared in the top placing tractors. If disqualification is ruled on top placing tractor, all other tractors move up one place.

  6. Any tractor violating the track boundary will be disqualified. The decision of the track judge will be final. 

  7. Drivers must be 14 years of age or older. All drivers enter at own risk. Drivers between the age of 14 and 18 must have parent’s written consent and safety class certificate with them. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

  8. Tractors will be stopped if the front end raises higher than the track judge decides is safe.

  9. Extra weights must be securely fastened to the tractor. No weights allowed on platform. If anything falls off before the pin is pulled, the tractor will be disqualified.

  10. Any gas-operated tractor must use gasoline only.

  11. While pulling, the driver must remain on the seat with one hand on the wheel. No jumping or bouncing will be allowed, however, leaning will be permitted.

  12. Tractors must stop immediately upon red flag signal from the judge or be disqualified. If puller is stopped by track judge for any reason, puller takes the distance where he/she stopped except if it is in the first 50 feet. If stopped within the first 50 feet, puller may be entitled to a restart.

  13. Tractors must be wheel driven, no crawlers or dual wheels. No FWD.

  14. Puller must furnish their own clevis or pullers’ eye to accept eliminators hook. (MINIMUM 2.5” HOLE. PULLING POINT CAN BE NO MORE THAN 1.5” FROM THE BACK OF HJITCHING DEVICE.)

  15. All weight classes are allowed 25# overage.

  16. In paced classes if the horn honks, even slightly, after the eliminator goes past the 100’ mark the pull is disqualified. 


TRACK JUDGES RULING IS FINAL ON ALL AREAS OF DISPUTE NOT COVERED IN THESE RULES!

ANY BELLIGERENT BEHAVIOR WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQULIFICATION.


PURE STOCK     PACE 3.0 MPH

  1. Must be 1957 or older.

  2. Any tractor that pulls in Pure Stock must remain Pure Stock if pulled in other classes. Pure Stock rules will apply to that tractor. No adding of weight brackets for another class.

  3. Weight Classes: 3400, 3700, 4000, 4700, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000.

  4. Maximum tire size: 3400-3999  13.6” X 38”;    4000-4999  14.9” X 38”;    5000-5999  15.5” X 38”;    6000-6999 16.9” X 38”  7000 and up  18.4” X 38” or equivalent square inches. 

  5. Engine = Stock Block, Head, Manifold, Carb (by part number), no add-on parts not in original parts book. No electronic ignitions-stock coil only. Must have stock HP & RPM’s.

  6. Rigid draw bar mounted in stock location must not exceed 20” in height, nor closer than 28” to center of rear axle.

  7. Tractors must have stock appearance.

  8. No cut or sharpened tires.

  9. Must use original air cleaner ONLY and must be hooked up.

  10. No weight brackets. NTPA style wheelie bars will be allowed. All weights must be bolted directly to the wheel and rotate with the wheel.  Ready Rod is acceptable. A weight bracket is considered anything welded or fabricated to support or hold a weight.

  11. No shifting on the go (T/A).



NEAR STOCK     PACE 4.0 MPH

  1. Must be 1957 or older.

  2. Weight Classes: 3400, 3700, 4000, 4700, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000, 7600, & UNLIMITED.

  3. Maximum Tire Size: 3400-3999  13.6” X 38”;    4000-4999  14.9” X 38”;    5000-5999  15.5” X 38”    6000-6999   16.9” X 38”    7000 and up  18.4” X 38” or equivalent square inches.

  4. Aftermarket air cleaner allowed.

  5. Sharpened tires allowed-Top Only.

  6. Weight brackets will be allowed.

  7. Front weights shall not exceed more than 24” beyond the center of the front frames out most casting. Rear weight not to exceed 24” behind the center of the rear axle.

  8. Rigid drawbar mounted in stock location must not exceed 20” in height, nor can it be closer than 18” from the centerline of the rear axle.

  9. Engine speed must be controlled by the throttle lever and a functional stock governor only. No strings, wires, or foot feeds allowed.

  10. Fenders are mandatory. Wheelie bars, kill switches are recommended but not mandatory.

  11. Tractors must have stock appearance, stock sheet metal, block, transmission, rear end, etc.

  12. No shifting on the go (T/A).



IMPROVED    PACE 5.0 MPH

  1. Must be 1957 or older.

  2. Weight Classes: 3750, 4250, 4750, 5750, 6250, 6750.

  3. Sharpened tires are allowed.

  4. Fenders are Mandatory. Wheelie bars and kill switch recommended.

  5. Max Tire Size:  3750 to 4750  16.9” X 38”    5750 and up  18.4” X 38”.

  6. Front weights shall not exceed 24” beyond the center of the front frames outmost casting. Rear weights not to exceed 24” behind the center of the rear axle.

  7. Rigid draw bar shall not exceed 20” in height nor closer than 18” from the center of the rear axle.

  8. Engine speed must be controlled by the throttle lever and a functional governor only. No strings, wires, or foot feeds allowed. 20% over RPM’s will be allowed.

  9. No shifting on the go (T/A).

  10. If tractor is equipped with a roll bar, the driver must wear a DOT approved helmet.



MODIFIED    PACE 7.0 MPH

  1. Must be 1957 or older.

  2. Weight Classes:  3750, 4250, 4750, 5750, 6750.

  3. 3750 to 4750  16.9” X 38”    5750 to 6750  18.4” X 38”.

  4. Must run stock block, transmission, rear end, sheet metal for that make and model.

  5. Cut tires are allowed.

  6. Wheelie bars, kill switch and fenders are MANDATORY!

  7. RPM’s over 20% must have safety equipment (safety blanket, scatter shield, steel flywheel, fan shroud or side shields, etc.)

  8. No shifting on the go (T/A).

  9. If equipped with a roll bar, you must wear a DOT approved helmet.







FARM PULLING RULES


  1. Any year farm tractor allowed.

  2. Anyone caught tampering with another tractor will be disqualified.

  3. Tractors must be operated in a safe manor at all times.

  4. No crawlers, tire chains or duals.

  5. Hitch point cannot be higher than 20” or closer than 18” from the center of the rear axle. All 3 point hitches must be locked from moving! ABSOLUTELY NO FLOATING DRAWBARS!

  6. Any tractor violating track boundaries must take distance at that point.

  7. Tractors must stop upon red flag or will be disqualified. If track judge stops pull for any reason, puller must take that distance.

  8. Any driver’s between 14-18 years old MUST have parental signature and tractor safety class certificate with them, NO EXCEPTIONS!

  9. If anything falls off the tractor before the pin is pulled, tractor will be disqualified.

     STOCK FARM CLASS   PACE 6.0 MPH

  1. Weight Classes: 8500, 9000, 9500, 10500, 12500, 14500.

  2. Must be a “farm” tractor, for example: original frame, rear-end, trans, pto, etc., installed & working.

  3. Stock injection pump, stock turbo, tractor must have been factory equipped with turbo if one is installed.

  4. No water injection.

  5. Stock engine RPM’s only!

  6. 20.8”max width on 9000# and over. No cut or sharpened tires! (True road worn is OK.)

  7. No FWD or front wheel assist unless unhooked or turned off.

  8. TA’s or shift on the go is OK.

  9. No Alcohol. Must run on gas, LP or diesel. Must run the fuel it was originally designed for.



      IMPROVED FARM CLASS    PACE AS AGREED AT DRIVERS MEETING

  1. Weight Classes:  9500, 10500, 11000, 12500.

  2. Turbo-limited to single turbo, no larger than 3” on inlet (no Bigfoot exhaust housing).

  3. 3000 RPM Max! Anyone caught over will be disqualified.

  4. 20.8” max width tire size. Cut tires are OK.

  5. ALL TRACTORS MUST HAVE SAFTEY EQUIPMENT-Wheelie bars, air shut-off, fire extinguisher, cross bolts in exhaust is strongly recommended. Two 3/8” bolts, 90 degrees X 1.0” apart, no more than 10” from turbo outlet.

  6. No component tractors-MUST run AG rear-end.

  7. No rain caps or curved exhaust pipes (vertical discharge only).

Scandinavia Corn Roast Truck Pull Rules


GENERAL RULES For ALL Classes


1. No alcoholic beverages on the track or in the pit area, any driver believed to be a

potential safety hazard will be disqualified and escorted out.

2. Pulling or towing vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times.

3. Driver MUST wear pants, shirt and shoes. No open toed shoes allowed.

4. Seat belts required. All diesel classes are required to have a helmet, and fire

extinguisher within reach of the driver.

5. Tires may be mounted forwards or backwards. All tires must be on the vehicle. No tracks

or tire chains allowed. Duals OK in Street Altered classes only.


6. Drawbar height not to exceed 26” for all truck classes. Drawbar must be rigid in all

directions. Hitch must be equipped with a 2.5” clevis or 2.5” pulling eye. No floating

drawbar.

7. Scale is available to weigh truck as many times as necessary before the hook. Every

truck must cross the scale immediately prior to hooking to the eliminator to verify

official weight and hitch height.

8. Vehicle must start and stop on signal of the track judge, no use of rearview mirror. (Pull

considered over when forward motion stops.) Violators will be disqualified and escorted

out.

9. No one is allowed on the track or within 25 feet of the track except for track officials,

judges, and contestants.

10. NO ONE OTHER THAN DRIVER PERMITTED (ANYWHERE) IN THE VEHICLE WHILE THE

VEHICLE IS PULLING.

11. Vehicle MUST start with a tight hitch. No jerking or working of clutch after the pull is

started. Any violation will be disqualified.

12. Vehicle and sled must remain in boundaries during pull. Any attempt to move sled is

considered measureable.

13. Contestant must pull in assigned position and within 3 minutes of sled spotting. (Track

officials to determine position change if necessary.)

14. Entries close at start of class, unless because of traffic holdup.

15. Judges decision to be final in all classes.

16. Electric fuel pumps are allowed in all classes.

17. All vehicles while being hitched and unhitched will be in park (automatic) or neutral

(standard) with drivers hands in the air.

18. Excessive loss of liquid on track or loss of parts will be cause for disqualification.

19. IF A TRUCK IS IN VIOLATION OF RULES A DRIVER OR PIT MEMBER MUST BRING

ATTENTION TO TRACK OFFICAL BEFORE START OF CLASS.

20. Arguing or unsportsmanlike conduct towards official is cause for disqualification of

BOTH TRUCK AND DRIVER for the day.

21. Must be 16 or older to enter any class and have a valid driver’s license.

22. ALL PULLING WILL BE AT PULLERS OWN RISK.

23. All vehicles are subject to inspection by track officials prior to pull. All vehicles not in

compliance with rules and regulations will be disqualified.

24. Drivers meeting will overrule specifications with class and changes to vehicle

specifications.

25. Weight that is added to vehicle for competition must be securely fastened. Any weights

or other objects that fall from vehicle that could have been prevented (i.e. hitch, mirror,

etc.) will disqualify vehicle. No loose weights (i.e. loads of wood, gravel, dirt, rock, etc.)

are allowed. No cement weights allowed.

26. Vehicles should be as safe as possible.

27. All windows must be intact.

28. AFTER UNHOOKED FROM ELIMINATOR-NO MORE THAN 10 MPH LEAVING TRACK!


Stock Gas Truck Rules


1. Truck must be driven in. Registration of truck may be checked.

2. Truck must be street legal, currently licensed and insured. Must provide valid insurance

card to register for this class. Must drive truck from home to the pull-no trailer riding.

3. Must be factory production vehicle. Must contain factory stock engine for given model

and year and be in stock location. Must have original doors, windshield and windows.

Flatbed is allowed.

4. Must have factory carburetor and intake manifold. Dual exhaust is allowed. No headers.

5. Maximum 10” rim (inside bead to bead). No dual wheels.

6. Stock type springs must be retained. No blocks or traction bars allowed.

7. Hitch must be in stock location and maximum 26” height. Provide your own clevis.

8. No weight to be added to front of vehicle. (Weight must be inside box or inside cab of

vehicle). Changes other than those listed above will not be allowed.

9. Trucks pulling faster than 12 MPH may be disqualified to being in wrong class.

Street Altered Gas Truck & Street Altered Diesel Truck Rules

1. Truck can be hauled in on a trailer. Truck must be a factory production vehicle. Must

contain stock type engine and be in stock location. Registration will be checked.

2. Truck must be street legal. Doors, windshields and windows must be intact.

3. Dual exhaust is allowed. Headers are also allowed. You may run with open exhaust.

4. Any single carburetor with cast iron/aluminum intake manifold is allowed. Tunnel rams,

programs, blowers, etc. are not permitted. Scatter shields and/or scatter blankets and

drive shaft loops are highly recommended.

5. Stock type springs not required. Multiple shocks are allowed. Blocks are allowed.

6. Weight added to the front of any vehicle may not exceed 60” from the center of the

front axle.

7. Hitch height not to exceed 26” and must be in stock location, measured at point of

drawbar.

8. Dual rear wheels are allowed in this class.

9. Changes other than those listed above are not allowed.

Stock Diesel Truck Rules


1. Truck must be driven in. Must be street legal, currently licensed and insured. Must

provide valid insurance card to register for this class. Must drive truck from home to

the pull-no trailer riding.

2. One 2.5 turbo only, adaptor plates are allowed.

3. All computer chips and boxes are permitted.

4. No nitrous or propane-all bottles must be removed.

5. Must have original doors, windshield and windows.

6. Rear suspension may not be blocked. Air bags must be deflated. No chaining or

strapping down front and or rear suspension.


7. Factory or commercially distributed aftermarket Reese-type hitch. Hitch must be

horizontal and stationary in all directions. Height from ground must not exceed 26” with

at least a 2.50” opening for the sled hook. Hitch must be in stock location. Hook point

must be past furthest point of truck body.

8. Truck must have both front and rear bumpers.

9. DOT street legal tires, 35” height limit. No chains, studs, spikes, etc.

10. Engine must have come from factory in a one ton pickup truck, but it is ok to come from

a different manufacturer (i.e. Ford with a Cummins).
